Марку Рибо (Marc Riboud) було 14 років, коли він вперше взяв у руки фотоапарат - старий кодак свого батька. Ця камера дала перший поштовх захопленню, яке він проніс через все життя. Інженер за освітою, Марк Рібо на самому початку своєї кар'єри взяв тижневу відпустку - пофотографувати театральний фестиваль в Ліоні.
